How Semi-Permanent Tattooing Works!

Hey! I’m Cynthia, a semi-permanent tattoo artist in Southern California, specializing in Microblading!

You might have found yourself here because a friend of a friend told you abou Microblading — a wonderful invention that allows us women to wake up with full-looking eyebrows without having to put a drop of makeup on.

Honeymooners, brides, instagram influencers and your every day woman has hopped on board the microblading train to make sure they can say #iwokeuplikethis and feel their fiercest with natural looking eyebrows, no matter how much you might have plucked them down.

Then you came here and found out, “Oh no! Is this a tattoo?!” I don’t want you to fear. Microblading is a form of semi-permanent tattooing that lasts about one year and is completely pain-free. The overall process takes about 2 hours and leaves you with beautiful, natural looking eyebrows after a few weeks of healing.

HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Step One - We have a 15-20 minute consultation to go over your microblading expectations, the products I used and how I like to work! You can see before & after photos in person for reference.

  • Step Two - You’ll get cozy in the chair while I map out the eyebrows, making sure they are symmetrical. I’ll pencil out the shape/form until you’re satisfied with the design.

  • Step Three - Now we add the numbing solution on top of your brows. This takes about 30 minutes to numb them and is necessary so you don’t feel ANYTHING.

  • Step Four - While the eyebrows are numbing, you’ll fill out your info + sign an agreement form, while I ensure the space is clean + all tools are ready.

  • Step Five - For microblading specifically, I use a small disposable blade to draw on your new eyebrow hairs. You’ll feel a MINOR scratching sensation — but should feel NO pain at all. If you are feeling pain, let me know and we can add on a bit more numbing cream.

  • Step Six - Throughout the procedure, I will be using a gel-like numbing solution to continue pain free. This solution also helps control bleeding.

  • Step Seven - I’ll add ink throughout the procedure and wipe off any excess at the end. You’ll view the end result of your first microblading experience.

  • Step Eight - You’ll receive an informative guideline on how to care for your brows post-microblading, alongside a treatment kit!

  • Step Nine - We’ll schedule your 4-6 week touch-up, which is advised to ensure any spots that didn’t heal well are reapplied.

  • Step Ten - Wake Up with beautiful eyebrows every day! Microblading generally lasts 1 year.
